David , me and my 98 mom and her caretaker all got the first out of 2 doses vaccine on Dec 31/2020 ....
Israel already vaccinated over 1 Million citizens most 60 + age-wise. (12%)
After the Health care staff, the army, home Security, the Mossad those over 60 and up Israel is moving to vaccinate teachers/education staff and.infrastructure workers
And any dosages which was left at the end of the day, was offered to anyone, regardless of age, if one was willing to get it ... so the defrosted product doesn't end up in the garbage...
The logistics' efficiency of the vaccine centers is amazing.
The Health providers - Maccabi and Clalit Kupat Cholim are working almost around the cloak with remarkable order and fantastic hospitable manners.
We are all in awe, considering the Political mayhem and the dysfunctional Gov.
There are many speculations on why Pfizer supplied vaccines to Israel, from Netanyahu the “magician”, through the Jewish ethnic link - the tragedy of Saloniki which impacted Albert Bourla , Pfizer’s CEO executive
But this has nothing to do with why Pfizer supplied Israel. Prioritizing a country like Israel, requires even more justification.
Pfizer is well aware that a 7 months clinical trial which is short data base, has safety risks , in particular among the vulnerable .
For the vaccines’ success, any death post vaccination, must be shown not to be related to the vaccine .
What is more reassuring is Israel’s solid Health Care infrastructure.
Israel “kupot Cholim” (the national health provides) keep 30 years of medical records, fully digitized for each citizen, which can help with this determination called “ pharmacovigilence “ .
Furthermore, the Kupot Cholim have complete real time accessibility through cellphones and excellent databases, which make the logistics feasible.
Obviously, being a developed country with 9 million people and of the highest density in the world, makes the nightmare -70 supply chain

In recent decades, Israel has carefully preserved medical data on its citizens in the health care system's databases. The Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality announces it will open a vaccination center in the city’s Rabin Square, where it hopes to inoculate some 5,000 people a day.
The city aims to open the vaccination site on January 4. It will initially be open only to those over 60 years old.
The site will be run by the city’s Ichilov Medical Center. Information on how to make an appointment has yet to be announced.

היה בשבוע הזה הרבה ממה שטוב בישראל, ולא מעט ממה שרע בה. מדמנה של מערכת בחירות, הרביעית בשנתיים. פוליטיקה שהתמכרה לפופוליזם, עם משבר כלכלי והתפרצות קורונה מתרחבת. ובמקביל, מבצע חיסונים שכל מילות השבח יחווירו מולו. ישראל התחילה הכי מהר שלה, כלשונו של קרמבו ב"מבצע סבתא", ולאט-לאט הגבירה. נכון לשעת סגירת הטור, ישראל היא המדינה המובילה בעולם בקצב החיסון ובשיעור אזרחיה המחוסנים. עיתונאים זרים התקשרו השבוע, מכלי תקשורת מגרמניה ועד הודו, כדי לשאול שאלה פשוטה: איך. איך יש לכם חיסונים. ואיך אתם מצליחים לחסן במהירות כזו. הם היו חדורי קנאה. חלקם תהו בלחש: מתי תתחילו לחסן גם אזרחים זרים.
