Hi Lili,

Happy New Year! I recently finished the book "Married to a Bedouin" by Marguerite Van Geldermalsen, with which you may be familiar. 

She was New Zealand and had visited Petra. While there she met and fell in love with a Bedouin souvenir sales person. When they were first married, they were still able to live in the caves on the sides of the mountain. Later they were relocated to housing in Petra by the government. I really enjoyed reading your history about the area and seeing your pictures. It gave me more background to appreciate the author's decision to accept the Bedouin lifestyle. I'm so happy to be on your travelogue distribution list! You look like you are having amazing experiences!!
